Kentro Webinar: A Discussion on Colonization to Incarnation– A Christ-Centred Path to Localization in Humanitarian Partnerships

May 14 | 1:00 pm 2:30 pm EDT

Localization is gaining increasing attention in global development, emphasizing that local leaders, organizations, and communities should shape the priorities and solutions that affect their lives. For Christian international NGOs, this conversation carries not only practical implications but also moral and theological ones. What might localization look like when viewed through a Jesus-centred lens?

This facilitated discussion continues the evolving conversation around localization in Christian mission and development. Drawing on themes from an emerging discussion paper, we will explore biblical foundations for localization and consider how donor expectations, Western-centric programming, and even local dynamics can unintentionally undermine genuine local ownership.

Participants are invited to share their perspectives and experiences to help shape a forthcoming responsive paper on Christ-centred approaches to localization, particularly how Christian INGOs can better educate donors and invest in local leadership.

$15 FREE for members and $15 for non-members
