Donation FAQs

While most of our operating funds do come from membership fees, contributions and registrations, we have made an effort to diversify our funding in the past few years for many reasons.

  • Each year, at least one current and/or prospective member organization faces financial challenges. Donations help us offer subsidized memberships to organizations that made need a little help with their fees.
  • Donations allow us to try new things and be innovative without risking the core of our income.
  • Kentro has experience significant growth in the past 5 years. Donations help us strengthen our capacity to accommodate for that growth.

Each year there are at least a few current or prospective members that face financial challenges that makes it difficult for them to pay their full fee. Donations help support membership for those organizations. They also support innovative ideas and new programs, such as collaborative advocacy, affinity groups, and executive peer support groups.
