Research Launch: The State of Fundraising for Canadian Christian Relief and Development Organizations

After a COVID bump in donations and irregular fundraising numbers in 2020-2022, many organizations experienced softer donation performance in 2023. It can be attributed to many reasons — donor fatigue, inflation, decline of religiously motivated giving, and more — but together, we can take a clear eyed look at what’s happening in our donor files and come up with some hypotheses on what we can do to turn the tide.

Charity Village recently aired a podcast on The State of Canadian Generosity, which outlined some of the most recent trends in the broad sector of Canadian fundraising. But how do these trends translate specifically to Kentro member organizations? That’s what Kentro + BuildGood are going to find out via a joint research project – The State of Fundraising for Canadian Christian Relief and Development Organizations.
