Kentro Webinar: Anti-Racism From a Jesus-Centred Perspective Part 1–Terminology 101
Mar 14 | 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EDT
Kicking off a 3-part webinar series on Anti-Racism from a Jesus-Centred Perspective, we have invited the ARC Hub to join us to go over the basics of anti-racism terminology in the wider Canadian context. This webinar will use the Anti-Racism Framework for Canada’s International Cooperation Sector* as our conversation’s starting point. The next webinar in this series will focus on interpreting and engaging these important concepts and terms through a Jesus-centred lens. And the final webinar in the series will be an opportunity for Kentro members to work through the Framework Sign-on process together.
Join Kentro as we welcome the ARC Hub to lead us in this first webinar to lay the foundation for our continuing conversations about these important issues.
* The Anti-Racism Framework for Canada’s International Cooperation Sector was produced by a team of colleagues from among the sector who formed Cooperation Canada’s Task Force for Accountability. The Task Force, co-led by Musu Taylor Lewis (formerly of Canadian Foodgrains Bank and currently of Food for the Hungry) and Tiyahna Ridley Padmore (World Vision Canada). Kentro is proud that two of it’s members were foundational to the development of this work and encourages deep, restorative wrestling with the concepts and issues that it raises.
** All participants are asked to read and abide by Kentro’s Principles of Welcome & Learning, which can be found here: https://kentronetwork.ca/kentro-principles-of-welcome-learning
